Baptism PrograM:

Our program provides information that helps parents and godparents fulfill their responsibility as the primary religious educators of the child. A Baptism class is held for parents and godparents, and needs to be completed prior to the scheduled Baptism.

Baptism can be celebrated in two ways in the Cathedral Baptismal font:

a) Candidates can be totally immersed by stepping into the pool, or
b) Candidates can be baptized by pouring water over the forehead using the bowl.

While practice may change with experience, pouring water over the forehead will be the usual way to celebrate Baptism.
