ReLIGious Education for
children (CCD)
Elementary Level
The program assists parents
with the religious formation and education of their children
through
instruction,
prayer experiences,
retreats,
and community building events. The program includes preparation
for the Sacraments of Penance and First Eucharist and weekly classes:

SACRAMENTS
OF PENANCE & FIRST EUCHARIST
The preparation for the Sacraments
of Penance (Confession) and First Eucharist (First
Communion) normally occurs in the 3rd
grade or after the second year of catechetical
instruction.
"Parents have the right and the duty to be intimately involved
in preparing their children for First Communion. Continued Catechesis
is given early in all catechetical programs for children, in as
much as the sacraments require lifelong participation and study." (NCD)
CONFIRMATION
(Grades 7-12 and over)
Confirmation is normally celebrated after
a period of preparation. Through our Confirmation
Program, we help participants come to a better understanding
of their commitment to Christ and the Church. To help participants
in this growth process, we offer special formation classes:

Junior high and high school
students wishing to be confirmed need to register early in the
fall.
REGISTRATION
To register your child for one of our religious
education classes, please complete and submit a registration form
with
a copy of your child's baptismal certificate.
